SINGING IN CARE HOMES
Gavin has been singing in care homes since April 2009. He is very interactive in his approach encouraging residents to join in as much as they are able.

“Gavin has been visiting Brambledown Nursing Home for 4 years now, playing the guitar and singing. He is very aware of the need for therapeutic music sessions and offers a range of various types of songs. All of which the clients thoroughly enjoy. Gavin has shown immense empathy with our clients, a quality which is enriched by his obvious love for music and people.
I am sure that your clients will enjoy Gavin visiting you as much as ours do.”
Sarah Cooney, Activities Co-ordinator, Brambledown Nursing Home.
"Gavin sings and plays the guitar beautifully. Our residents love his visits-they sing along and move to the music. If Gavin doesn't already have the songs the residents request in his repertoire, he will go away and learn them to make the songs he sings meaningful to the residents. The songs often bring back memories of the past for people and gets them reminiscing about days gone by. Gavin is a very gentle man of a calm disposition and is always a joy to have performing for us."
Heather Manktelow, Occupational Therapist, Primley Court Nursing Home.
"Gavin Frank has been attending Meadowside on a monthly basis for more than 2 years to entertain the residents with his wonderful vocals and guitar playing. All the residents really look forward to Gavin coming in and always speak very fondly of him. Gavin is always very polite and kind natured and always entertains when he is here.
We will all miss Gavin very much but wish him all the best for the future".
Aymi Brown, Home Manager, Meadowside Residential Home.
